BK - Wkend 2
Saturday, May 25, 2019 (10:00 am - 4:00 pm)
Sunday, May 26, 2019 (10:00 am - 4:00 pm)
Students will have a chance to review and practice techniques from BK Weekend 1, but basic sailing experience and/or haven taken Weekend 1 is assumed. Students will have no more than one hour of classroom time in Weekend 2, however topics will begin to become more practical covering basic navigation, crew recovery, and seamanship. On the water you'll be refining the skills learned in Weekend 1 while practicing the concepts learned in the classroom. You'll come in a bit early on your last day, and it's test time.
A written test will be administered on the last day of this course. Upon successful completion, your US Sailing Logbook will be handed out and You're Certified! If for any reason you cannot pass the written or practical test, TISC allows you to join any other Keelboat class until you are ready at no charge.
Prerequisites: Basic Keelboat Weekend 1 Register for Weekend 1 before taking Weekend 2
Minimum of 2 people for class to run.
